  • PLA

PLA (Polylactic acid) is very common in the 3D Printers industry.  This is mostly due to its low thermal expansion coefficient.  This means less warping and curling during printing.  PLA is not as tough as other plastics, but delivers prints with very high accuracy, ideal for prototyping and scale models.  It is available in a range of colors and is easy to print with.

  • Silk PLA

Silk PLA (Polylactic acid) is very common in the 3D Printers industry.  This is mostly due to its low thermal expansion coefficient.  This means less warping and curling during printing.  PLA is not as tough as other plastics, but delivers prints with very high accuracy, ideal for prototyping and scale models.  It is available in a range of colors and is easy to print with.

  • ABS

ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is commonly used in 3D Printers and throughout the plastic industry.  It is selected for its toughness, temperature resistance and strength.  ABS is available in a range of colors and is moderately easy to print with.  In 3D Printing, it is mostly used for functional components.  It is the same material LEGO and most house plastic products is made of.

  • PETG

Uglymonkey PETG is a specially formulated Filament, Simple and Easy to print with. Uglymonkey PETG is blended to give best flow and best strength. PETG is as durable as ABS, almost as strong as nylon and as easy to use as PLA.

  • HIPS

HIPS, High Impact PolyStyrene, can be used as dissolvable support with ABS. Also prints beautiful parts with lower shrinkage and warping than ABS .Dissolvable with Limonene (pentene) Limonene can be purchased direct from Protea Chemicals.

  • Flexible

Flexible filament and  Semi Flexible with a rubber feel. This Product can stretch up to 80% and is ideal for hard rubber parts where a bit of flexibility is required. Due to its  flexibility it requires an extruder capable of handling soft filament. Printed at 50mm/s maximum printing speed.

  • PA / Nylon

    PA / Nylon

  • Wood

Wood filament manufacured from PLA with Wood powder added to the plastic mixture.

We recommend printing with a 0.5mm nozzle for less blockage problems.

0.4 Will work but tends to get clogged on very long prints over 8 hours long.

  • PVA Dissolvable

    PVA Dissolvable filament

PVA dissolves in Water, Perfect for those difficult to reach supports.

  • SA Filament PLA

SA Filament PLA manufactured locally by SA Filament.
